Established in 2003, it wasn’t until 2014 that Dan and Val decided to join together to create WCC, a privately owned breeding cattle operation focused on producing high quality Shorthorn and Simmental show cattle and breeding stock, in South Central, Minnesota.
Mission:
To produce consistent, high quality Shorthorn and Simmental cattle that work in the show ring and in production.
Vision:
WCC is focused on the profitable, progressive, and sustainable production of dominating Shorthorn and Simmental cattle from a desirable and predictable cow herd focused on unique/out-cross genetics
We are extremely passionate about the cattle we produce, for our customers. Countless hours are spent to make sure all cattle sell in good condition, are sound, docile, and trained well enough so that they can show, as soon as you get them home!
Handling of the calves starts at birth and we have halters on them by 30 days of age. We like to start them early and while they are still nursing, it is less stressful for the calves and for us. The cows and calves are on a strict diet and vaccination program which keeps them happy and healthy.
Each September, we have an Online sale where we offer a select group of Shorthorn and Simmental females. More information about the sale can be found in our Sale page. We also like to offer a high-quality group of Shorthorn and Simmental bulls, each Winter, either privately or through consignment sales.
We enjoy staying in touch with our customers and answering any questions that will help them succeed with their cattle investment. Give us a call when you're looking for your next show heifer, cow, or herd bull!
